Spacious inside and out, the skilled crew take this adapted hybrid electric traditional boat and sail into Kaldfjorden, through the feeding grounds of humpbacks, orca’s and sea eagles. The silent propulsion also enables the captain to capture the surrounding whale songs on the hydrophone. Hot soup and drinks are included on this adventure as are professional guides with an extensive knowledge of the whales and Arctic sea-life.

Located a scenic 75-minute drive from the city and in the heart of the Tamok Valley lies Tromso’s latest attraction – the Ice Domes. Rising out of the Arctic wilderness are two exquisite ice bars and a restaurant, featuring intricately carved ice sculptures that pay homage to the local Sami culture and the mystery of the northern lights.
