The Reindeer Lodge

A colony of simple log cabins each with snow covered high angled roofs, painted wood surrounds framing a small lantern lit porch with a communal candlelit timber lodge where you feast on meals based on foraged local root vegetables, venison from reindeer, moose and arctic char. Cabins which can sleep up to four are heated from a wood stove backed up by electric heating with potable water. There are separate male/female communal eco friendly dry toilets and wood fired sauna (if your only sauna experience is an electric one in a hotel the soft heat from the wood sap is balm for body and soul). The reindeer corral with both adult animals and calves is just alongside the cabins.
