WHITE WEDDINGS IN NORWAY
WEDDINGS AT KIRKENES SNOW HOTEL
Just outside Kirkenes at the northernmost tip of Norway lying on latitude 69°N is the world’s most northerly Ice Hotel with just 15 exquisitely sculpted suites, ice art and double beds topped with reindeer skins.
Newly consecrated in January will be a charming snow chapel to which we have exclusive access this coming winter and where the local Minister will conduct a select number of weddings. Your wedding dinner is in a traditional Sami ‘lavvo’ under the arctic night which with any luck may be illuminated by the Northern Lights.
In the surrounding plains of Norwegian Lapland you can enjoy a cocktail of adventures: snowmobiling over the mountain ridge to observation point 247 where NATO faced down the Russian Bear for half a century; husky safarii under (hopefully) the Northern Lights and snowmobiling out over the ice to fish for Giant Crabs unique to the Barents Sea. All in all, a real ‘been there – done that’ experience and now with Gordon Ramsay’s f factor.
