Iceland’s Langjökull glacier, reachable from Rekjavík in just a couple of hours by Super Jeep, is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a literally ‘whiter than white’ wedding. The vast desert ice cap stretches as far as the eye can see in every direction, snugly visible from our exclusive mobile glazed lodge with panoramic windows from floor to ceiling. Ceremonies are conducted by a local registrar, followed by a seafood buffet and an exhilarating snowmobile across the glacier.
DAY 1 UK – REYKJAVIK
Scheduled Icelandair flight to Reykjavík. Private transfer to Hotel Borg and overnight for 4 nights.
DAY 2 REYKJAVIK
After breakfast the day is yours to either take an excursion, make last minute preparations for your big day, be pampered or just chill out in the ‘Capital of Cool’.
DAY 3 WEDDING DAY
Leave by Super Jeep through the whale tunnel with your guide for the day, stopping off at Borganes to sort out your wedding license formalities and then climbing up across the mountains to Langjökull. Arrive at our‘Room with a view’ for your wedding and seafood Wedding Breakfast, after which slip into a fetching Bibendum outfit for a snowmobile safari across the glacier. Super Jeep back to Reykjavík.
DAY 4 REYKJAVIK
Day at leisure. Optional excursions available.
DAY 5 REYKJAVIK – UK
After breakfast, private transfer to Keflavík airport for return flight to the UK.
The Borg is to Reykjavík what the George V is to Paris or Claridges to London: plush, lush and with phones in the bathrooms! All 56 rooms are elegant and uniquely furnished and have private WC/shower, TV and telephone.

Icelander's see no reason not to get married wherever they want [and ther's no prohibition on them doing so]. Of all the places we've arranged for people to 'tie the knot', on top of a glacier has to be the most romantic. Eider Gudjonsson's mum, who helps us sort it all out for us on the ground, has a knack of laying her hands on flowers that aren't available to anybody else; chefs that normally only work in Reykjavik's best restaurants and has the best snowmobiles on the island for you to scoot off on your honeymoon!!
