Enjoy amazing cool meals on platters of carved ice at the Ice Hotel
A fantastic way to experience the Arctic landscape as it has been travelled for generations
Our Classic Ice Break is the ideal way to enjoy the ICEHOTEL with a night in Stockholm to help you unwind before the short flight to Kiruna the next day in time for a light lunch.
In Sweden’s capital you stay at the family owned Esplanade hotel overlooking the harbour and at the ICEHOTEL a full programme of excursions and activities is included with an overnight in a Snow room and another in ‘warm accommodation’.
At the ICEHOTEL your snow room is formed in the shape of an igloo with a double frame bed, resting on blocks of ice illuminated from below and topped with a thermal mattress covered with reindeer skins.

Afterwards, you can enjoy an optional reindeer sled safari through the forest and across the fells to a “Lavvo” (tent) for a traditional Sami lunch by an open fire before returning to Jukkasjarvi. In the afternoon, you can choose further optional excursions either by husky or snowmobile. The final night of your “Classic Ice Break” is spent either in a Kaamos, Nordic or Northern Lights room. The local Inn serves Lapp specialities and has both table d’hôte and à la carte menus.
