Mehamn Rorbu

Fjord side fisherman’s huts alongside the pier in the world’s most northerly fishing village (pop 900). The just 5 huts are built in traditional Rorbuer style with all mod cons. Each has 3 separate bedrooms, a small living room and private WC/shower. Not surprisingly the restaurant here specializes in fish including King Crab from the Barents Sea. Owned and run by Vidar Karlstad, a native born and bred in the village who styles himself as Vidar the Viking and also doubles up as the flight controller at the airport.
