A Brief Encounter with Reykjavik

It may be one of Europe’s smallest capitals, but it certainly puts many others to shame with its diversity of attractions. In close proximity are geysers, caves, hot springs and glaciers. The city centre proffers galleries, museums and sculptures which reflect the huge variety and creative and cultural background of Iceland’s population of just 321,000. Buildings owe more to nature than to architects. The plethora of restaurants on offer pride themselves on crafting culinary delights from an abundance of locally sourced products.
 
Our brief encounter to Reykjavik is designed to be flexible. Choose your hotel and combine with any one of our excursions and adventures detailed in the excursion tab.
DAY 1 - Reykjavik
Fly from a wide choice of regional airports direct to Keflavik Airport. Transfer with airport shuttle bus (or upgrade to a private transfer) and check-in at your chosen hotel.
 
DAY 2 & 3 - Optional Excursions

DAY 4 - UK
Enjoy last minute shopping or stop off at the Blue Lagoon on the way to the airport in time for your return flight home.

Blue Lagoon & Keflavik Transfer

Golden Circle Classic
An all-day, scenic extravaganza. Admire the landscapes of Thingvellir National Park. Continue to Gullfoss, whose foaming, thundering waters are often overarched by a rainbow in summer, or stunningly frozen in mid-air, in winter. Super Jeep Golden Circle and Langjokull Glacier
Experience Iceland’s nature, geology and history on a thrilling guided Super Jeep tour. You will see Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. Northern Lights Hunt by Bus
Spend an evening in search of the Northern Lights. This tour takes you away from the city and explores some of the best places to see this wonderful natural display where, when the Aurora Borealis does appear, the colourful lights dance and swirl across the clear, winter sky.

Super Jeep Northern Lights Search
Your guide transports you away from the city lights into surrounding countryside where the modified Landrover Defenders takes you through spectacular landscapes; providing an ideal backdrop as and when the Northern Lights appear. Your guide is on hand to help you capture this spectacle on film and should the lights not appear, you are welcome to try another night free of charge.
