One of our number drove this, carefully calibrating daily driving distances to ensure you have time to see all there is to see en route, particularly at Skaftafell where we have included a day in which you can hike in the National park there without doing any driving at all. The itinerary finishes in Akureyeri where you leave your hire car before flying back down to Reykjavik. As with all our self drives the trip is customizable in any way that suits you - we can add a night here, take away one there and, of course, your car can be upgraded to any level of comfort and power you need.
