Narsaq’s eponymous bay with its waters invariably flecked with floating icebergs is the vista that greets you each morning on this 7 day discovery tour of Southern Greenland. Hiking on the Dyrnaes peninsula; taking a boat trip up to the inland glacier and fjord bird cliffs; exploring the remnants of Eskimo life and sailing through the narrow Mato Strait are just some of the optional excursions that bring Greenland to life.
DAY 1: UK – REYKJAVÍK
Scheduled Icelandair flight to Reykjavík. Transfer on arrival to and overnight at Hótel Leifur Eiríksson or Hotel Metropolitan.
DAY 2: REYKJAVÍK – NARSAQ
Self-transfer to Reykjavík Domestic Airport for mid afternoon flight to Narsarsuaq. Transfer to the pier and continue by three hour boat journey through Eric’s Fiord to Narsaq for four nights.

By boat across the ice filled Bredefiord and on to the impressive Twin Glacier. Lunch on a small rock in front of the glacier. Return to Narsaq via bird cliffs and a waterfall.

A full day excursion by boat to South Greenland’s biggest town Qaqortoq where the old town centre from the 1750s is still intact. Lunch at restaurant Nappasivik, situated in one of the town’s oldest houses.
