The Wilderness Hotel Nellim is owned and run by the Lappalainen family: Jouko and Mari. Here they have converted the old school house into a home for travellers looking for adventure and tranquility. The hotel consists of 3 buildings facing in on each other around what was once the children’s playground: there are 20 hotel rooms, 6 cosy apartments, two new log cabins & 3 privately owned cabins, all with private WC/shower; fresh food from the lake or forests and an authentic Sami family welcome characterise the hotel.
The hotel’s principle public area has a small lounge seating area, restaurant and bar, hand crafted by Jouko himself.
